Exacerbated by war in Yemen, digital violence against women — including financial extortion through social networks — has led many activists to refrain from participating effectively online. This field study surveys a purposive sample of 41 women from five Yemeni governorates who were exposed to digital harms. The results were triangulated with desk research, in-depth interviews, and the researchers’ own expertise.
